Happy Days

Working with live animals can be challenging. Especially around dogs, mostly because there is a lot of barking and noise, they are all excited to see you go in and out! To them, mostly, it means "we get treats, our breakfast or dinner….and attention!, Hurayyyyyyy!". A lot of clients ask me how I do it? After spending 8 hours straight with all the noise the whole time, to come back the next day with a smile on my face and happily do my job. It is easy for me, I just love it! I love coming day after day and seeing those little faces, how they look at me, how they know who I am and especially how I can see the trust they have in me, what a priceless experience. Animals don't need to talk to express themselves, all you have to do is pay attention to the little details that they show you. ~Vera Fuentes

Lupe Shiba Inu

I am excited to inform that after a year of working at CV Pet Resort,  one of our regulars, Lupe has finally warmed up to me and allowed me to pet her. Although it was only for a second,  for me it was big progress. She is a Shiba Inu, and even thou she is friendly she doesn't like to be touched, so you can imagine how special I felt. That is one of the little pleasures you get when you work at a place like CV Pet Resort. Getting to know all these different animals and seeing how they get to trust you is a beautiful experience I will treasure my entire life. ~ Vera Fuentes

Playtime with Lucy

Yesterday as I began my working day the very first thing I do is to feed all dogs who eat twice a day, as I was checking every kennel card to make sure I was feeding the right ones, I noticed Lucy had playtime scheduled. I continued with my routine and then proceeded to play with Lucy, I was surprised the way she guided me around the kennel as if it was her own home, I noticed she is a little old so I was happy to see how energetic she was as I imagined she would be at least 10 years old…. oh how wrong I was! It was until I took her back to her kennel that I noticed a piece of paper with all the specifications about her and where they made it to my knowledge she is not 10 years old.. she is 14 years old! It made me so happy to see a dog that old in such good care, a special congratulation to her owner. You have done a marvelous job with her, not only is she well trained to be on a leash and go to the bathroom outside, her health seems to be in excellent condition! ~ Vera Fuentes

Rottweiler Rescue

This Rottweiler male is in need of a new home soonMy name is Brett and i have a Rottie mix we rescued from PACC about a year ago. i’m reaching out to find out information about reaching out to the Tucson Rottie community about potentially relocating our dog. while overall he’s pretty good for a rambunctious little 3 year old, some of his behaviors have gotten to be too much to deal with having a young child running around the house. unfortunately we just don’t have the time to spend to train him properly and it’s starting to cause a lot of stress in our household.

so i’m trying to reach out to see if i can find him the good home he deserves. we don’t necessarily need to give him up immediately, but i wanted to try reaching out to other Rottie lovers that might know of others looking for a young dog that they could spend the time to train him properly. i was hoping i could find somebody who might know somebody and so forth. any insights or assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much.

Home Private Pet Boarding Tucson

Thanks Anna for writing this and for trusting us with your Pets. No sweat at Camino Verde Pet Resort, even if one thinks that his dog is “not easy”!
Private in home dog boarding Tucson
Susan taking time with Jax and Marley relaxing during their stay with us!

Here is Anna’s email in regards to our Home Private Pet Boarding Tucson:
Andreas,
Hope all is well. Sorry it took so long for the review. I did post on Yelp and YellowBook. We’ll be bringing Marley in for grooming soon. Here’s a testimonial for your site.
I highly recommend Camino Verde Pet Resort for your grooming and boarding needs! We have an 11 pound Maltipoo and a 166 pound Kuvasz. Both are groomed at CVPR and look great every time. We had concerns about our Kuvasz who is not friendly, especially around men. Andreas has some magic because our Kuvasz loves him. These are REAL dog pros.
We recently had to go out of town and boarded our pets for the first time ever. We were very anxious. Andreas kindly sent us pictures and a short video clip to show us how well the dogs were doing. That helped relax us and get through our trip. CVPR really cares about us and our pets. I won’t go anywhere else.

Best Dog Grooming and Boarding in Tucson

Thank you for your kind words, Linda. We really appreciate your email, showing us that we are steering into the right direction!

Andreas,

I was there this morning with Gina and Jake for their pedicure.
So impressed with your facility.  All the years I have lived and driven by your
kennel, I never thought it was open!  Gate was always locked and never any vehicles
near or around the property.  So glad I called you!  Marla and Rebekah are wonderful.
My greyhounds loved them right away.

Marla gave me a tour and told me some of your history with training dogs.  I was impressed
by the police dept and border patrol.  I work for National Auto Collision on Grant Road and
we repair vehicles for both the police dept and Border patrol, especially the K-9 unit.
Same for the K-9 unit for the Airport.

I have forwarded your info on to Mary Freedman of the Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption.
We sometimes look for kennels to house our hounds when we have an overflow problem.  Perhaps
we can work with you in the future.

I would also like to invite you to speak about your business at my Business International
Network (BNI) group.  We meet at 7 a.m. on Thursday mornings at Tohono Chul Park, located
off Ina Road and Paseo del Norte.  We have 37 people in the group.  You would come as my guest.  Some have young dogs and could benefit from your training classes.  Richard Livingston is our D.V.M.  I am sure he would enjoy meeting you.

Please let me know if you would like to join us and I will reserve a space for you.

Thank you so much for the great experience today.  We will be back in 4 weeks for another
pedicure!

Kind regards,

Linda, Gina and Jake

Millie Beagle female for adoption

Millie Beagle female for adoption

Millie Beagle female for adoption is a two year old from Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue.
She is very sweet and easily trainable with treats. She is fully checked out by the Vet. Her blood tider showed a slide Valley Fever that is under treatment now. No physical evidence/ symptoms. She is a very active dog, which makes her training fun, as the energy just has to be channeled into the right direction. It is always easier to do exactly that, instead of trying to make a dog active during training and therefore having to struggle for participation!
